United Way of Delaware Interns Repair Bikes for Southbridge Weekend

On Thursday, July 19th, United Way of Delaware interns helped repair and fix about 25-30 donated bikes in preparation for the upcoming Southbridge weekend event in Wilmington.

United Way of Delaware interns worked with Urban Bike Project and volunteered by helping the small 501(c) 3 non-profit agency repair donated bikes that would be given away as a part of a raffle during Southbridge weekend.  Urban Bike Project also taught Southbridge Weekend attendees how to repair bikes and biking safety tips during Southbridge Weekend.

The mission of the Urban Bike Project is to serve the community’s needs by educating and promoting cycling as a safe, practical, cost-efficient mode of transportation. Our facilities provide a means for the public to become more self-sufficient both in bicycle maintenance and transportation. We work to foster a greater sense of awareness in motorists, pedestrians, and the community at large.  If you're interested in donating to this organization, visit them on the web at www.urbanbikeproject.com or call 302-656-1726.

Here's a few happy new bike owners:
